Ultraviolet Rays

Jul 04, 2013
Did you know that ultraviolet rays can cause eye diseases year round? Polarized sun wear is great for those who enjoy spending time outside. Whether you are waterskiing, boating, jogging, biking, golfing, or in your car, polarized sunglasses can benefit your vision by eliminating and filtering intense reflected light and reducing glare. In addition, they protect your eyes, and the skin around them, from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. Many people think that sun wear is just for the summertime; however, harmful UV rays are present all year. Polarized lenses help to eliminate the glare from the snow. Did you know that UV radiation from the sun is associated with many eye diseases including macular degeneration and cataracts? Make sure you are protected from harmful UV rays by wearing polarized lenses when it is sunny outside.
